Dear conference registrants…
Thanks for registering for the Show Me Sustainability conference!
We’re looking forward to a great weekend of connecting, learning, and leading.
A few things to note:
- When you arrive at the conference, please check-in at the table in the lobby of the Anheuser-Busch Natural Resources Building. You’ll get all sorts of goodies, including the final schedule of the conference, a name tag, and a locally-made granola bar (brain food!). Directions to the ABNR Building are on the conference website, on the page called “How to get here, eat, sleep.” Check-in will start at 5 p.m. Friday, and continue Saturday morning. If you haven’t paid your registration fee, we’ll ask you to do so then.
Things to bring:
- If you have one available, please bring a poster or display of what’s going on your campus or with your group. There will be an open area set up with easels for groups to display, and we encourage everyone to take a look around and get inspired and connected.
- On Friday night, there will be a t-shirt making workshop. Bring an old shirt, turn it inside-out, and you’ll have all the supplies necessary to paint the recycling chasing arrows (or other cool stuff) onto your shirt. It’ll be a homemade souvenir.
- On Saturday night, there will be an Open Mic Night, so please bring your instruments, your slam poetry, or any other talents and passions you’d like to share.
Food details:
- Saturday morning, before the workshops start at 9:30, a light breakfast food will be available. We’ve got dozens of fresh baked rolls from a local bakery arranged, and coffee from a local brew.
- Saturday’s lunch is being catered by Main Squeeze, a natural food cafe. There will be two different types of sandwiches (both vegetarian) to choose from, potato salad, fruit, and lemonade. Your registration fee covers this fantastic lunch. Also, more of the locally-made granola bars will be available for sale if you need an afternoon snack or want to buy some to take back on your campus.
- Saturday night, you’re on your own for dinner. A list of great local restaurants will go up on the website before Friday. We encourage you to go with other conference guests to dinner, to make the most of the time you get to spend with other sustainability nuts.
If you have any questions:
- If you’re curious or worried about anything connected with the conference, please feel free to send us an e-mail at showmesustainability@gmail.com.
Thanks again for registering, and we’re looking forward to all the excitement this weekend holds,
The Show Me Sustainability Conference planning committee
