And the spring 2010 Keynote Speaker is… Jared Cole!

Posted on January 4, 2010. Filed under: 2010 Conference |

Jared Cole has happily accepted our invitation to be the keynote speaker at the conference this year!  The topic of his presentation is: “Youth are the renewable resource of the future: a presentation on creating environmental opportunities for young people.”

Jared Cole seeks to transform the way people and organizations interact with the natural world. He has worked for nonprofit organizations such as Bridging The Gap, Missouri River Communities Network, and Friends of the Woods in his quest for sustainability. During his undergraduate studies at the University of Missouri, Jared founded Sustain Mizzou, a nonprofit organization that focuses on positive approaches to environmental issues and leadership development. Jared is an alumnus of both AmeriCorps State and Teach For America. He currently teaches science at a public school in the Bronx, New York, where he is busy transforming the minds of his students.

A very intelligent and enterprising young man. Have spoken to him on several occasions and quite impressed with his knowledge of what is taking place in the world around us. Don’t hesitate to hear his keynote speech. You will be in for a treat.

Jared Cole will be a speaker who will get you up to moving in the right direction. He just doesn’t just talk the talk but does something about the environment and is very motivating.
You won’t want to miss this important presentation.
